The trials season is now well underway and we've been a bit busy organising ... The big events of 2008 in the UK started with the Easter Bunny Hop, a fund-raising event for "candlelighters" to help the families of those affected by childhood cancer. The event, prompted by young rider Ben Carlile, was supported by Biketrial riders and organisers from all over the world.
Picture shows Ben Carlile with hero Cesar Canas, and joint Bunny Hop winners Wayne Mahomet and Ben Savage who jointly awarded young Ben with their trophy! The cleanbikes riders put on a good show for the judges (Cesar Canas and Dan Clark) ... New team member Andy Ford put on a good show on his new 231 Kamel; with the latest team member 11 year old Jack Carthy showing many of the older riders how it's done!
Cleanbikes rider Chris Walker made his first public appearance since his comp retirement last year to show some spectacular riding on a borrowed bike while waiting for his 221 kamel to arrive ...
Funds are still coming in, but it's believed that the event raised around £3,000 for the fund. Thanks to Cesar Canas for coming all the way to the UK from Spain, and thanks to Dougie Lampkin and his family for making Ben's day so perfect. Many many thanks to everyone who contributed in any way to this amazing event. _________________________________________________________________ .......currently updating...... |
